Email Marketing - Is the Part of Your Marketing Strategy?

An email marketing strategy is an important part of any marketing strategy. Email is the most cost-effective way to promote your products.

email marketing strategy

There are many voices out there today, all clambering for our attention. In our home-based business, we get bombarded daily with offers that we are told we just can't refuse! all offer their best marketing strategy and/or courses, which if you'll just simply buy it; it might literally set you financially free! Ever been there?

Well, that's not what I'm getting to do here!! We're getting to be talking about one subject: Email Marketing and email marketing strategies. Clearly, there are more marketing strategies than email marketing. the very fact is, there are many various marketing strategies out there, and that we have many choices, but you've got to make a decision which of them you would like to implement. a technique that has worked well on behalf of me and other internet marketers is to start out with two, maybe 3 marketing strategies. Get very conversant in those, and confirm they're working for you. Don't let anything or anyone sidetrack you. stick with your guns. Once you've got those mastered, advance to the subsequent 2 or 3, but don't abandon the first 2 or 3.

There are many marketing strategies, and I'll name a couple of, such as:

1. Social Media - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Yuwie, Friendfeed, Squidoo, etc

2. Articles - Ezine, Articlebase, BetterNetworker, etc

3. Press Releases - FreepressRelease.com, 24-7pressrelease.com, PRWeb.com

4. Videos - YouTube, Traffic Geyser, Camtasia, etc

5. Blogging - WordPress, Blogger, Digg, etc

6. Forums - Warrior Forum, Google and Yahoo forums, etc

7. Email - Viral Host, AWeber, List Bandit, List Joe, Viral URL, etc

There is a myth floating around out there that I would like to deal with immediately, which is this: there's a standard misconception by many of us nowadays that the web is just too competitive, which a newbie [slang word for a newcomer to the internet] cannot possibly hope to succeed running against the large dogs, or the more seasoned internet marketers.

Nothing might be beyond the truth! There are more ways of creating money online than many opportunities and niches to require advantage of. and therefore the bottom line is this: there are constantly new people coming online, and new people trying to find business opportunities. The key's to seek out something you're curious about, have a passion about, and start to plug therein niche.

This is not about niche marketing, and at this juncture, I'm not going into the way to find your niche and finding the proper keywords to plug your niche or product. There are many articles and blogs out there that.

You can find many articles and blogs about all the various marketing strategies, but what I'm getting to specialize in here is email marketing. Email marketing may be a key part of any marketing plan, but where that falls in priority for you is completely hooked into what your marketing strategies could be.

I'm getting to assume that you simply have already got your list [if you do not contact me, and that i will assist you thereupon, or point you in the right direction]. Email marketing lists are important, but maintaining them and keeping them up so far is even more important.

In email marketing, your reputation is vital, more so online than offline. Both are important, but most folks reading this try to create a home-based business through a web presence. We build and develop our online reputation through social media engagements, blog posts, press releases, articles, forums, videos and etc. Our reputation actually is made by our readers, and if we still supply them with valuable content, our reputation grows.

When it involves building our reputation in social media, it's important to not bombard your friends and followers with just links to your site. Several times throughout the day is okay but provide valuable content, like positive quotes, links to videos which will help build their business, etc. an entire article might be written just on this subject, and lots of are written.

Our online reputation is what makes our email deliverable! That's right; our reputation is what helps get our emails opened. If our reputation has become tarnished due to some negative posting on a forum or a negative blog, it'll definitely affect email deliverability. If people on our list view us negatively, they have a tendency to blacklist us, and now the e-mail goes into the spam box rather than the inbox. which will have an immediate impact on your bottom line.

Here are 7 tips that will help get your emails delivered.

Strategy#1: Manage and Maintain Your Online (and Overall) Reputation

a) Can't say enough about this - it's completely within your control!

Strategy#2: Get Opt-In Permission

a) You've got to supply options to your subscribers to permit them to vary their subscriber preferences. Subscribers need to have the choice somewhere in your email to opt-out if they so choose and it should be plainly visible.

Strategy#3: Recipients Expect Frequent and Valuable Content

a) I buy some emails on a day to day, and one even sends between four and 6 per day. However, I always read them, because invariably they supply good and valuable content. Actually, two or 3 times every week is sufficient, and there's even some thought out there that when every week is enough. It really depends on your list and your product.

b) Rock Bottom line - whatever your frequency, it's to contain relevant and valuable content. If not, they're going to opt-out or drop it into the spam folder!

Strategy#4: Use a Recognizable "From" Address

a) I've received an email from online marketers where it had been quite obscure on where the e-mail was coming from. There are many email providers out there (see list above) so there's no excuse to not have a recognizable "from" address.

b) Confirm your subscribers have how to succeed in you. If your "from" address in your email isn't a reachable address, provide one somewhere in your email. I like better to provide mine within the signature of my email.

Strategy#5: Design the Header of Your Email to Deliver Your Message

a) This is often the primary thing they see once they open their mailbox! If you recognize anything about copywriting, you recognize that the header is that the most vital item to getting your email opened and skim. this will be the difference between successful or unsuccessful email marketing.

b) For instance you are not good at writing headlines - there are many sources out there where you'll find someone that's. attend elance.com, post what you would like done and you will find someone who will roll in the hay for you. Just make certain to see them out thoroughly and obtain some good verifiable references. For as little as $200 you'll get someone to write down you an excellent email campaign with an excellent header.

Strategy#6: Spam - Who Defines It

a) Does it really matter who defines spam? Absolutely!! What involves the mind once you consider spam? Most times the response I buy is "It's sending unsolicited emails." Really, is that it???!!! If that is what involves the mind, then you actually got to familiarize yourself with what spam really is!! It can mean the difference between getting your email opened (delivered) or not.

b) CAN-SPAM laws were created and enforced by the FTC [Federal Trade Commission]. what's CAN-SPAM? The acronym CAN-SPAM derives from the bill's full name: Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act of 2003.

c) ISP (Internet Service Providers), also because the FTC has an outsized part in determining what's or isn't spam. ISPs don't believe CAN-SPAM to define spam. Their contention is that spam is first and foremost defined and determined by the user. If, for instance, a user determines the e-mail is spam by putting it in their spam folder, or in their blocked sender's list, or simply not opening it, then the ISPs consider it spam - whether or not it adheres to every and each rule of CAN-SPAM.

d) Stay current on the CAN-SPAM rules and confirm that each email campaign complies and adheres to those rules. make certain that your email recipients can opt-out easily. Remind your email recipients of the e-mail address they ought to use to request information or if they need any questions.

Strategy#7: Relevance and Continuity

a) When the potential client and/or email recipient clicks on your PPC ad or a link that you simply provided in your email, it's imperative that what you had in your email and/or ad is where the link goes to. for instance, if you're advertising something about weight loss, confirm that once they get to your site, you're actually promoting weight loss, and not something irrelevant - like, for instance, skiing!! Remember....it's your reputation. If it doesn't connect or is irrelevant, it could make the customer want to think about future ads irrelevant and that they will avoid clicking on them.

b) When that happens too often, program algorithms will then label your ads as irrelevant, suppressing the program Marketing (SEM) and PPC conversions. SEM is merely relevant if you've got an internet site.

The last item I would like to hide (and never the least) is program marketing. program marketing can and does have an excellent impact on your online reputation, i.e., your email deliverability. what's program marketing? Glad you asked!! program marketing is that the performance of selling or advertising your internet site through search engines, like Google, Yahoo, or Bing. program marketing (SEM) may contain one or more of the subsequent components:

· Pay Per Click (PPC) - On the proper side of the page you'll see little boxes or ads, and people are what are considered PPC [Pay Per Click]. whenever you click on those, the advertiser pays Google, Yahoo or Bing (the amount depends on what program you're using). You bid the quantity you're willing to pay per click. The more you bid, the more likely your ad will appear higher within the program results. Google AdWords has implemented a further aspect. Your ads will rank supported the relevancy or importance that Google places on your site, which is extremely difficult to control.· program Optimization (SEO) - Google, Yahoo, and Bing [formerly MSN] crawl through content of your article, blog, website, etc., and appearance for valuable and relevant content. SEO is what gets you within the top 10 positions on the left side of the page when it's opened. it's mentioned as generic listings.

· Buy Inclusion (PFI) - what's PFI? It may be a program marketing technique that involves paying for an internet site listing during a Web directory, for instance, Yahoo Directory [not same as Yahoo Search] or Verizon's SuperPages. rock bottom line is you're paying to be included during a Web directory. additionally to look engines, like Google, Yahoo and Bing, various other directories also exist online. These directories can either be general in nature or are often associated with a selected topic. you'll get free listings in some online directories, like DMOZ. However, most directories now charge for inventory. Yahoo describes its directory as a Subject-based directory listing websites during a wide selection of topics, from arts, entertainment, and society and culture, to science, education, and health.

So is program Marketing Important?

It really depends on whether you opt to form program marketing a neighborhood of your marketing and advertising strategy. If you do not have an internet site or ever decide to have one for your business, you certainly wouldn't need program marketing. But in today's business climate, it's hard to imagine anyone not wanting or having an internet site, as nearly all businesses are expected to possess an internet site and most do.

Search engine marketing is employed as a way to urge traffic to your website. This again is often done through your emails with links to your website, or through SEO, PPC, or PFI. This then should ideally cause getting new customers and adding to your home business revenues.

When compared to other means of advertising and marketing, program marketing is often very cost-effective. as an example, you'll implement some SEO techniques on your own. Organic search rankings are free, so if you'll move up within the rankings, your traffic should increase, which, in turn, should increase your home business revenues.

In the same way, PPC is often very cost-effective. Since you'll set limits on what proportion you'll pay per click and the way much you'll pay per day. By doing that, it's fairly easy to stay your costs in line. As previously mentioned, some Web directories like DMOZ allow free listings, while others can cost as little as $25 - $30 per annum.

In closing, it's vital to your success to stay your lists up-to-date in order that you'll optimize your response rates, your conversions, and your overall email campaign performance. With all the spammers and fraudulent email senders out there, it's created tons of mistrust. So I can not stress enough how important it's to consistently update your email list, review your list often to determine which email recipients haven't opened or clicked through for the last six months. Make them another compelling offer, and if they still don't open them, you would possibly want to undertake another time, on the other hand, take them off your list.

To your success in getting your email opened!

As a true estate investor, father, and business owner, I've always been an entrepreneur at the bottom, and have successfully started and sold several businesses over the years. I even have even started some businesses that have failed, so I do know both ends of the spectrum!

I have tried several different MLM companies and was ready to build an honest organization with them, but it seemed that the leaders always left for a few other 'newest and latest business opportunities. In one case, our up line even kept the cash that was alleged to expire right down to us!!

Even once I had a brick-and-mortar business, I used to be always trying to find ways to create a business online; something that might give me a residual income. I even have tried several affiliate programs that promised me thousands of dollars if I might just promote their product. Little did I do know that the thousands of dollars would be coming from my pocket...instead of how I had envisioned it - going into my pocket!!
